Ellensburg could have been the State Capital of Washington State, but...

The town burned down in July of 1889!

Ten city blocks and over two hundred homes were lost in the fire.

  1. Wow! I'm going to impress my friends when I tell them I know why Olympia ended up being capital. Not that I know why it was chosen mind you. Love this photo, it makes me feel as if I was already there and driving! Enjoy your weekend!
