Feeding the birds this year.

Thus far the Purina Wild Bird Chow has attracted about a dozen wrens and sparrows, and two chickadees. If anything interesting swoops in I will blog it.

Skywatch Friday.

A beautiful fall day in Ellensburg. Afternoon temperature about 68 degrees. The Washington Weather Service had predicted rain for Thursday and Friday, cooling temps., and snow in the mountains down to 4,000 feet. Not yet!

Holding hands on the way to the Ellensburg Public Library.

I did not crop this photo as I wish to also show the type of sidewalks found in the Historical District of downtown.

Jack gave ME something extra...

After our visit to the Farmer's Market on Saturday some of us went to the Jack in the Box Drive Thru to pick up lunch. There were seven cars ahead of us. Arriving at the pay window the young lady said she had an extra---free if someone wanted it--- chocolate shake. I ended up with it. Thanks, Jack! It was really good!

Autumn colors, downtown Ellensburg.

28 Degrees early this morning. This photo was taken on my way to the Farmer's Market. Some of the usual vegetable venders were not there today.

The long, grey Cadillac...

I have lived in Ellensburg for three and a half months.  This old Cadillac has been parked at this location or down a couple of parking spaces since my first day here. My new friends--both of them, ha--do not know the owners identity. The mystery continues...

The American Red Cross Office on Pearl Street

The Yakima River on the west side of town has flooded parts of  that area in years past. Those residents received help from the Red Cross.

Dean Hall nears completion.

To me this new building on the Central Washington University campus has an aeronautical look to it. I wanted to show it to you before it lifts off on it's maiden flight.

Winegars homemade ice cream store.

Winegars on Main Street. Great ice cream and coffee. This photo shows the side of the store with the distinctive slanted red roof.

Flowers from Parke Creek Farm.

The Parke Creek farm grows organic vegetables. Join the monthly plan to get the veggies delivered right to your door. And sometimes you will even receive a bouquet of farm flowers!

Ellensburg Sunset.

I will try not to blog many of these, but I thought this one was dramatic enough for a mention. Where I live faces west and there are great colors to photograph at twilight!

Love those boots!

A moment of apprehension does not distract from the beauty of the young girl and her boots during a recent Ellensburg parade.

Loving the sound of his master's voice.

Cajun music being played for the crowds entertainment at the Ellensburg Farmer's Market.

Art Lives...

Life is but a dream at Dick and Jane's house on South Pearl Street. Even the sidewalk smiles!
