Let's talk bull.

The Pearl Street bull at the Kiwanis Pavilion, downtown Ellensburg.  The sculpture created a controversy until the hat was added. A favorite place for visitors to be photographed, sitting beside Mr. Bull.

Meanwhile, back at the Dakota Cafe...

Finishing up the breakfast cinnamon roll...checking the Safeway grocery list. Four distinguished older gentlemen are at the next table talking about the "good old days" when they worked at Boeing and/or NASA. A lady across the room recognized one of them, comes over and talks a good 10 minutes before leaving. We are also out of here. Time to go purchase those Rodeo tickets!

Lunch at the Dakota Cafe.

When in Ellensburg, you must do lunch at the Dakota! It is located in the very center of downtown, across the street from the Clymer Art Museum and Gallery One. There are bicycle racks in front for the college crowd and white-haired grandmothers in one corner finishing their monthly group meeting breakfast.

Preserving the past...

Signs such as this one are restored and preserved on many of Ellensburg's historic buildings. I will show more of these in the weeks to come.

Young Cowboy Up!

This young cowboy sits tall in the saddle during the Ellensburg Jr. Rodeo Parade.
